LE ANN CYR, M. ED., Chief Executive Officer
Le Ann M. Cyr obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. She also attended Georgetown University in Washington D.C. for her Graduate Assistantship in 1995. In 1996, she completed her Master’s Degree, graduating with honors and a 4.0 G.P.A.
After Graduate School, Le Ann worked for a Fortune 500 company as a Corporate Headhunter; focusing primarily on the recruitment and placement of professionals in the Accounting and Finance fields. It was this period of her career that gave her the foundation in corporate America and business industry knowledge needed for her future entrepreneurial endeavors.
Le Ann continued in the staffing and recruiting industry until she helped to start the Orthopaedic & Spine Institute with her husband, Dr. Steven J. Cyr, in 2015. Le Ann fulfilled the roles of Chief Operating & Financial Officer for OSI from 2005-2013. In this capacity, she was primarily responsible for managing the financial, marketing, and operational aspects of the business. She focused on ways to expand and profitably grow the company, including strategic partnerships that enhanced the patient experience and promoted the practice.
In 2014, she decided to step down as COO/CFO to focus on a new venture, a non-profit foundation in her family’s name, The Cyr Family Charitable Fund, which is housed under the SAAF. Much of her efforts between 2014-2017 were dedicated to helping non-profits raise awareness and funds for their particular causes on behalf of her family’s Charitable Fund.
In the fall of 2017, Le Ann returned to the medical industry by spearheading a new venture, Surgical Associates in Spine (SA Spine), in an effort to address the ever-challenging issues that face the medical industry. As CEO and Founder, Le Ann is focused on establishing and growing SASpine’s presence in San Antonio and expanding into other cities, beginning with Houston, Texas.
Le Ann Cyr resides in San Antonio, Texas, with her husband and four children. Their fourth child was recently adopted locally in San Antonio. The Cyrs are a cohesive team constantly searching for ways to make a positive change in their communities by contributing time and philanthropic effort to local community and global non-profit organizations with a primary focus on children and Christian-based charities. Le Ann feels it is a necessity that her children are raised to recognize the importance of being a productive and contributing member to society and giving back to their community for God’s glory, not one’s own.
